Young girls and the not so young women are obsessed with their size and starve themselves to death in order to look skinny and fashionable. They little realize what harm they do to their bodies, forgetting the fact that most men prefer their women with curves. They are inspired by the ultra thin models they see on covers of magazines and go on strict diets wanting to look just like the models, but are they aware that those glossy incredibly beautiful photos have been touched up to cover all blemishes, lumps and imperfections by using the latest computer technology?
This obsession with calories, fat, and sugar content are making the lives of many women miserable and it's time that those responsible stopped making those stick thin models the ultimate fashion icons. If someone can make these girls see that models are only "cloth hangers" and don't necessarily have to be beautiful, while it's the woman with curves and an hour glass figure that should be looked up to as "beautiful" even though they might not be successful "clothes hangers". (I have nothing against models, some of them are incredibly beautiful).

The media and the model industry is much to blame for this, .. but like J.K. Rowlings said..
“Unless they promote women as toothpicks, they will lose their chauffeur-driven jobs and front-row seats at fashion shows," she wrote. "[Designers] want you to believe that you are not beautiful enough or young enough or thin enough, and they do that by draping cadaverous 16-year-olds across double-page spreads so you will feel so wretched that you will have to buy their products to make yourself feel better."
